Taron Simonyan is the founding partner of ELL Partnership, SRDB Law Firm’s partner in Armenia.
He began his academic journey at Yerevan State University, earning a law degree with high honours in 2007 and a master’s degree in European Law in 2009. He then pursued further studies in the United States, graduating from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University in 2009. In 2012, he completed his doctoral dissertation on the theory and history of the state and law.
During the course of his career, Taron has advised companies in various sectors such as information technology, media, and mining. He has also served as an expert for international projects with the OSCE, the Asian Development Bank, and EuropeAid, playing a pivotal role in drafting Armenia’s new Civil Procedure Code.
Taron served as a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia from 2019 to 2021, where he contributed to legislative committees and worked on policy integration and alignment with the EU. He has held influential positions in various legal and academic organizations, promoting arbitration and mediation initiatives on both national and international levels.
As an academic, Taron is an associate professor at the Faculty of Law at Yerevan State University and a lecturer at the French University in Armenia. He has authored numerous articles and monographs on international law, comparative law, and the theory of the state and law.
Recognized for his legal expertise, Taron has been invited to participate in various international professional training programs, further solidifying his global legal profile.
