With over 32 years of experience in transport, logistics, and maritime security, Imed ZAMMIT has held several senior management positions within major institutions. Since 2023, he has been working as a transport and logistics consultant, as well as a trainer and educational advisor at the Mediterranean Institute of Maritime Trades and appointed arbitrator at the Paris Maritime  Arbitration Chamber

Previously, Imed served as CEO of the Tunisian Navigation Company from 2020 to 2023, where he implemented development strategies, modernized the fleet, and improved company management through digitalization and financial independence. He also served as General Manager of the Mediterranean Institute of Maritime Trades between 2015 and 2020, contributing to the signing of international agreements in the maritime sector, and having led tree projects  funded by European Union Commission .

From 2014 to 2015, Imed chaired the Merchant Marine and Ports Authority, where he launched modernization projects for port infrastructure, particularly at the port of Rades. His tenure at the African Union Commission (2007-2011) was marked by his involvement in the drafting of the African Maritime Transport Charter and strategies to enhance maritime security in Africa. Imed also contributed in EUC to the revision of Trans-European Transport Networks and developed the implementation strategy for the EU-Africa infrastructure partnership.

With a degree in maritime law and  First Captain of Merchent navy several certifications, Imed has also been a lecturer in specialized institutions, contributing to the training of future generations in the transportation and logistics sectors.
