Personal Data Protection Policy
The personal data protection policy was updated in May 2024 and applies to citizens and permanent legal residents of the European Economic Area and Switzerland.
Its purpose is to present the terms and conditions of the processing, by SRDB, of the personal data of the Users of the Website (also referred to hereinafter as “Data Subjects”) and to inform them about the rights they have concerning the processing of this data (hereinafter “Personal Data”), in accordance with the Regulation (EU) of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (hereinafter the “GDPR”), and the Act No 78-14 of 6 January 1978 on information technology, files and freedoms (as amended by Act No 2004-801 of 6 August 2004) (hereinafter the “Information Technology and Liberties Act”).
The email address and any other Personal Data voluntarily provided by the User to identify themselves in their email sent to SRDB, as well as the Internet Protocol (IP) addresses related to their internet connection, are the only Personal Data likely to be collected through the Website and processed by SRDB.
These Personal Data are collected from the Website via a “mailto” link or through a contact form, which allows the User of the Website to send emails to SRDB or its members.
Only a valid email address of the User must be transmitted to SRDB so that it can respond to the email that was sent to them. Any other Personal Data is optional in this context.
The Personal Data are used and retained only for the purpose of responding to emails addressed to SRDB and its members and are kept for the duration necessary for the purposes for which they are collected and processed.
The IP addresses of the Users are retained by SRDB only for the purposes of examining any malfunctions of the Website, ensuring the security of the Website and/or the servers on which it is hosted, and conducting anonymized statistical calculations, and are kept for the duration necessary for the purposes for which they are collected and processed.
The Personal Data are thus collected for specific purposes, made known to the Data Subjects, and cannot be used later in a manner incompatible with these purposes. These Personal Data are collected fairly; no collection is carried out without the knowledge of the Data Subjects and without them being informed.
SRDB commits to respecting the privacy of Users and protecting the Personal Data communicated to it. To this end, SRDB implements technical and organizational security measures to protect the data collected against accidental or intentional manipulations, against loss or destruction of data, or against access to it by unauthorized persons.
The Personal Data processed are intended for the authorized personnel of SRDB, as well as for the service providers to whom the firm resorts in the context of its communication. SRDB also requires that all its service providers provide appropriate guarantees to ensure the security and confidentiality of Personal Data.
Under the conditions defined by the Information Technology and Liberties Act and the GDPR, Data Subjects have the right of access, rectification, inquiry, limitation, portability, and erasure of the Personal Data concerning them.
Data Subjects involved in the processing implemented also have the right to object at any time, for reasons relating to their particular situation, to the processing of Personal Data based on the legitimate interest of SRDB.
They also have the right to define general and specific instructions detailing how they intend the rights mentioned above to be exercised after their death.
Data Subjects can exercise the rights mentioned above by sending an email to: contact@srdb-lawfirm.com or a postal letter to the following address: 43 rue de Rennes, 75006 Paris, France. Any request must be accompanied by a signed copy of an identity document.
Data Subjects also have the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL.
Given the various legislative and regulatory developments, SRDB regularly updates this policy in order to ensure the daily protection of your data.
