PRESS RELEASE : SRDB continues its expansion in West Africa with its establishment in Guinea-Bissau

Paris & Bissau, 16 March 2026

SRDB Law Firm continues the development of its international network with the conclusion, in early 2026, of a partnership in Guinea-Bissau with the law firm JULAFER & LOPESFINO ADVOGADOS ASSOCIADOS, led by Dr Juliano Augusto Fernandes and Mr Rufino Lopes.

This collaboration enables SRDB to strengthen its presence in West Africa and to more closely support companies and investors active in the region.

A jurist and senior legal consultant, Dr Juliano Augusto Fernandes has more than thirty years of experience at the heart of the institutions of Guinea-Bissau. He has notably served as Minister of Information, Minister of State, Legal and Political Advisor to the President of the Republic, and Government Spokesperson. Throughout his career, he has also collaborated with several international organizations, including the World Bank, the European Union, the UNDP, and UNICEF, particularly in the context of legislative and institutional reforms.

Alongside him, Mr Rufino Lopes, a member of the Guinea-Bissau Bar, advises companies and investors in business law and legal advisory matters.

According to Georges Sioufi, Managing Partner of SRDB:

“We are particularly honored to welcome Dr Juliano Augusto Fernandes and Mr Rufino Lopes to the SRDB Worldwide Network. Their reputation, experience and in-depth knowledge of the legal and institutional environment of Guinea-Bissau represent a valuable asset for our network and for our clients.

This partnership reflects our commitment to working alongside leading lawyers and to continuing the development of SRDB with professionals who share the same standards of excellence and independence.”

With this new partnership, the SRDB Worldwide Network continues its international expansion and further strengthens its presence on the African continent.
