Franklin MBAILASSEM LAOUMBATNAN is SRDB’s partner in Chad and a member of the SRDB Worldwide Network.
Admitted to the Chad Bar since 2011, he is the founder and Managing Partner of FRANKLASS Law Firm, based in N’Djamena.
He advises public institutions, local companies, and international investors on their operations and projects in Central Africa, in complex legal and regulatory environments.
His practice focuses on business law, litigation, and regulatory compliance, with particular expertise in the mining, hydrocarbons, infrastructure, energy, and aviation sectors.
Maître Franklin regularly assists foreign investors with the structuring and securing of their investments in Chad, as well as institutional stakeholders on governance, regulatory, and legal risk matters. He is also involved in public-private partnerships (PPP) and cross-border financial operations within the CEMAC region.
He has developed significant experience in civil and criminal litigation, particularly in sensitive and high-stakes matters, combining procedural rigor with a strategic approach.
He also advises on compliance and anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing (AML/CFT), supporting clients in implementing compliance frameworks and due diligence processes.
He is a member of the International Association of Lawyers (UIA) and the International Bar Association (IBA).
