Taron SIMONYAN

TARON SIMONYAN - PARTNER - SRDB ARMENIA

Taron began his academic journey at Yerevan State University, where he graduated with honors from the Department of Law in 2007 and earned a Master’s degree in European Law in 2009. He continued his studies in the United States, graduating from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University in 2009. In 2012, he completed his PhD in the Theory and History of State and Law.

Throughout his career, Taron has provided legal advice to companies in diverse sectors such as information technology, media, and the mining industry. He has also served as an expert for international projects with the OSCE, the Asian Development Bank, and EuropeAid, and played a crucial role in drafting the new Civil Procedure Code in Armenia.

Taron held influential positions as a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia from 2019 to 2021. He was involved in legislative committees and worked on the integration and convergence of policies with the EU. He has also held significant roles in various legal and academic organizations, contributing to arbitration and mediation initiatives on national and international levels.

As a lecturer and associate professor, Taron teaches at the Faculty of Law at Yerevan State University and at the French University in Armenia. He is the author of numerous articles and monographs on international law, comparative law, and the theory of state and law.

Recognized for his legal expertise, Taron has been invited to participate in multiple international professional trainings, enhancing his profile in the global legal field.
