SRDB Expands Its Network in Congo and the Central African Republic to Drive Cross-Border Projects in Africa

Georges Sioufi - Jean Petro - Nicolas Tiangaye - SRDB

SRDB Law Firm welcomed Me Jean Petro, its partner in the Republic of the Congo, and Me Nicolas Tiangaye, its partner in the Central African Republic, to its Marseille office for a series of meetings focused on the development of cross-border projects in Central Africa.

The cooperation agreements between SRDB and each of the two lawyers, which had already been signed remotely, were formally confirmed in person on this occasion.

Beyond this formalisation, the presence of Jean Petro and Nicolas Tiangaye provided an opportunity to address the region’s cross-border challenges in concrete terms, notably through a high-impact healthcare project combining technology and local production, currently being structured across West and Central Africa. The project provides a tangible illustration of the complementarity between local expertise and regional coordination that SRDB seeks to develop.

“Regional projects require both an in-depth understanding of local realities and effective coordination between the countries involved.”
— Jean Petro, SRDB partner in the Republic of the Congo

Key Partners in Central Africa

Former President of the National Bar Association of the Republic of the Congo, Jean Petro has extensive experience in business law and advises companies, investors and international stakeholders on their operations in the Congo.

Nicolas Tiangaye, a member of the Central African Bar since 1983, former President of the Bar, former President of the National Transitional Council and former Prime Minister of the Central African Republic, has a particularly distinguished legal, international and institutional background, together with in-depth knowledge of the Central African environment. He has also acted before the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda.

“This meeting clearly demonstrates the value of a network capable of bringing together people and expertise around a common project.”
— Nicolas Tiangaye, SRDB partner in the Central African Republic

A Regional Approach to Cooperation

This meeting reflects SRDB’s approach in Africa: building, over the long term, a network of experienced professionals who are firmly established in their respective jurisdictions and able to work together on matters that extend beyond national borders.

“We have built a structured network across Africa around lawyers who are recognized among the leading practitioners in their respective countries and with whom we share the same commitment to ethics, professionalism and trust. Today, this network is actively working on cross-border projects.”
— Georges Sioufi, co-founder of SRDB Law Firm

In the coming months, SRDB will have the opportunity to provide further insight into some of the projects emerging from this regional dynamic.
