George is a seasoned attorney with over 40 years of legal practice, admitted to the Syrian Bar since 1984. He holds dual Syrian and American citizenship and is fluent in both English and Arabic.
He earned a Law Degree (J.D.) from the University of Damascus in 1984 and a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Loyola University Chicago (USA) in 1991.
George is the owner of Bassous Law Office in Latakia, a firm originally founded in 1959 by his late father. While the practice has handled a wide range of civil cases, it has grown into a reputable firm with a strong focus on corporate and business law, building a prestigious clientele that includes major local and international companies and banks, from Syria, Lebanon, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands, Greece, and the Gulf region.
